‘Girl, bye’ – Social media users react to Jada Pinkett Smith’s remarks about THAT slap

“Jade, [you’re] a little too late with this one” – social media users had a lot to say about Jada’s recent comments on slapgate.

Looks like Jada Pinkett Smith is ready to talk about the time Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Will famously (or should we say infamous) slapped Chris in the march ceremony after the comedian poked fun at Jada’s bald head.

Jada had previously spoken about her condition with alopecia, but it was unclear whether Chris knew about it or not.

Nonetheless, Will was criticized for her violent behavior, with many saying she overreacted. He later apologized and was eventually banned from future Oscar ceremonies for 10 years.

Jada has remained mum on the controversy so far. Her Facebook Watch show, “Red Table Talk,” recently aired an episode about a woman whose 12-year-old daughter killed herself after being bullied about her condition with alopecia.

“This is a really big ‘Red Table Talk’ on alopecia. Given what I’ve been through with my health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands of people have reached out to me with their stories,” the 50-year-old said at the start of the episode.

The “Set If Off” star later opened up about the incident at the Oscars.

“Now, about Oscar night. My deepest hope is that these two smart, capable men have the opportunity to heal, to talk about it, and to reconcile. The state of the world today, we “We need them both. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we’ve been doing for the past 28 years, and that’s continuing to figure out what it’s called living together.” she declared.

Jada’s remarks have become a trending topic on social media. Many felt his comments were a little too late, while others told him to shut up.

“Why are we still talking about this?” asked one Instagram user. A second person wrote, “Jada was still talking about healing, it was a slap in the face. Not the end of the world.”

A twitter user commented, “Whenever Jada Pinkett Smith is in fashion, it’s because she did something to embarrass or downgrade her husband.”

another user added, “I swear Jada Pinkett Smith says so much and nothing at the same time.”

Although Jada received criticism for her comments, many social media users are happy that she is educating people about alopecia on her show.

“So many tears watching this episode. My mom was diagnosed with alopecia in the past year. My heart goes out to Rio’s family. Bullying should not be tolerated,” one woman commented on Facebook .

Another user added: “Oh man, another powerful, informative and important episode that I knew about alopecia but not to the extent so thank you RTT and thank you to everyone who shared… my sincere condolences to the family Rio.”
