“I never used social media or mobile during JEE Advanced,” says Deevanshu Malu, AIR 11

On September 11, 2022, Deevyanshu Malu from KIIT-IS Bhubaneswar became the highest ranked student in Odisha with an AIR 11. Take a look at his exam strategy, success mantra and future goals.

Deevyanshu Malu from KIIT-IS Bhubaneswar became the highest ranked student in Odisha with AIR 11 in the JEE Advance, the results of which were released on September 11, 2022.

He sat for the IIT-Bhubaneswar zone exam. Vetcha Gnana Mahesh was ranked 10th, while he placed second in his zone. The IIT-Bhubaneswar top 5 includes Suryansh Srijan (51), Tanish Agarwal (57) and Aditya Prakash (70).

IndiaToday Education had the opportunity to chat with Deevyanshu Malu, JEE Advanced topper with All India Rank (AIR)-11, where he shared with us his feelings, preparation strategies and future goals.

JEE ADVANCED TOPPER LOVES PHYSICS

Deevanshu, who also emerged as the best in Odisha in the JEE 2022 main exam, loves studying physics and wants to study at IIT Bombay in the computer science branch and then pursue a graduate degree in physics. He felt extremely happy after learning his JEE Advanced result, which was announced on September 11.

“I am extremely happy right now. I want to thank my parents as well as Allen, Bhubaneswar for all the efforts they have been doing for me all the time,” says Deevanshu.

PREPAREDNESS STRATEGY

“I started preparing for the JEE Advanced exam when I was in class 6. My daily routine includes 10 hours of basic study. These 10 hours also include my coaching lessons, which I took at Allen, Bhubaneshwar in online mode from home,” says Deevanshu.

“I always try to take naps and short breaks from my studies to recharge myself and start again with proper dedication,” he said.

When asked how much time he spends using mobile or social media, this is what he said:

Having never been introduced to social networks, I have never been distracted.

SUCCESS MANTRA

From my own experiences, I learned that only hard work, pure dedication and sincerity towards studies will go a long way and that’s what I practiced too.

Deevanshu loves studying physics and wants to pursue higher education in physics in the near future.

Talking about his family background, Deevanshu studied at KIIT International School. his father is a senior software architect at Infosys and his mother is a housewife.
