‘Liger’ maker Puri Jagannadh takes a break from social media amid mixed response to film

Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has been making headlines since he started promoting his latest sports drama Liger. The film starred Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role while Ananya Panday played her love interest. liger released in five languages ​​- Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on August 25.

Amid mixed reactions from viewers, Puri Jagannadh recently took a social media hiatus according to a tweet from producer Charmme Kaur.

Taking to her Twitter account, producer Charmme Kaur revealed that filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is currently taking a break from social media. The producer asked Puri Jagannadh’s followers to “chill out” and assured them the director would bounce back. The tweet read, “Relax guys! Just taking a break (from social media) @PuriConnects will bounce back bigger and better…until then live and let live.”

Puri Jagannadh’s next movie

Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Vijay Deverakonda are ready to collaborate again for the next film Jana Gana Mana. During a chat with Pinkvilla, the director opened up about the film and revealed that it was his dream story.

The filmmaker further revealed that he wrote the story about 10 years ago and was waiting for the right actor to direct it. Puri Jagannadh had previously tapped Mahesh Babu for the project, however, the collaboration could not take place.

As Gita Govindam star Vijay Deverekonda will star in the film, the director has revealed how the first one came on board. He said: “During the filming of Liger, Vijay asked me about JGM and I told him about it. He was enthusiastic about the idea. It’s a very big film and we have international technicians at edge.”
