When it comes to philanthropy, the only actor we think of today is Sonu Sood. He spared no effort to help people during the pandemic last year. From arranging bus services to paying medical bills for the needy, he and his team ensured that no one suffered during the testing periods. Now the actor is back with another initiative known as Moga di Dhi (Moga Ki Beti).
He’s gotten quite a name on social media during the pandemic. People applauded him and praised him a lot for helping the needy during the most difficult times of their lives. Some even wanted his name to be nominated for the next prime minister!
Sonu is ready to help people with his sister this time. The brother-sister duo will distribute 1000 bicycles to schoolgirls and social workers in Moga on Tuesday (today). Nearly students from about 40 to 45 villages near Moga will benefit from their campaign.
While talking about the cause, Sonu said, “The distance between school and home is really long, which makes it difficult for students to attend classes in extreme cold. To help curb the problem, we aim to provide deserving female students in grades 8-12 with bicycles. With our campaign, we will also donate these bikes to social workers.
Public school teachers identified these deserving students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Sonu’s sister, Malvika Sood Sachar, is a famous philanthropist and actively works with the Sood Charity Foundation.
Work-wise, Sonu will next be seen with Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar in “Prithviraj.” The film was postponed due to the Omicron outbreak.
